How to add your dog to a booking
- Don't bring your pet to the Aer Lingus check-in desk: it won't be accepted.
- Book your pet with a pet agent at IAG Cargo. From North America, contact the North American Pet Desk at 1 (866) 300-4004 or petdesk@iagcargo.com.
- The agent you book with arranges to meet you at the airport on the day of your flight.
- Flying into Ireland from a non-EU country (including Great Britain, but not Northern Ireland)? Notify Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine at least 24 hours before departure and schedule a compliance check on arrival. You'll need to show evidence at check-in.
Pet fee
Aer Lingus doesn't publish a pet fee. Pets are booked through IAG Cargo, which sets the price.
Carrier size and weight
Aer Lingus doesn't allow pets in the cabin, so there are no cabin carrier rules. See the cargo section for pets in the hold.

Cargo and checked pets
Aer Lingus carries pets in the cargo hold through IAG Cargo (pet agent). Aer Lingus accepts domestic cats and dogs only. Maximum weight limits apply to containers and animals, but the page doesn't give them: it refers you to IAG Cargo.
